Reservations

How do I make a reservation?
Please proceed to the reservation by clicking on "Select From Plans" or "Room Availability" at the top right corner of the screen.
How many months in advance can reservations be made?
We accept reservations up to 1 year in advance.
Regarding periods for which online purchases are not available, please kindly inquire directly via email.
In addition, depending on the date of your reservation, we may be unable to send details of the accommodation fees and menus to you immediately. We do appreciate your understanding.

Fees

Do the fees include service charges and tax?
There is no service charge at our ryokan. All fees shown do not include tax. Bathing tax is also charged separately (150 yen per adult per night).
What are the accommodation fees for children?
The accommodation fee for elementary school age children is 70% of the adult fee. A smaller range of items is served for children at both dinner and breakfast, compared to the adult meals.
* Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate children under elementary school age.
* The 70% of the adult fee that is charged applies even when meals and bedding are not required.
Are there any accommodation plans without meals?
For guests staying with us for consecutive nights, we can exclude meals for one night of your choice. If you wish to make use of this option, please be back at the ryokan after dinner by 23:00. After 23:00, the entrance will be locked for security reasons.

Hot Spring & Guest Rooms

Is it possible to use the baths only?
They are currently available for use by staying guests only.
I have tattoos. Can I use the large bath and private open-air bath?
We provide adhesive pads to cover tattoos (length 15cm x width 10cm). Guests are welcome to use the large bath if they use these to cover their tattoos. However, you can use the private open-air bath even if you have tattoos.
Can I wear a swimsuit in the large bath and private open-air bath?
We ask guests to refrain from wearing swimsuits in the baths.
Is advance reservation required for the private open-air bath?
If the bath is free on the day, you are welcome to use it; however, if you make a reservation in advance, you are more likely to be able to use the bath when you want to.
What are the prices and times available for using the private open-air bath?
2,000 yen (excluding tax) for 50 minutes of usage.
Please choose from the times below.
14:00 / 15:00 / 16:00 / 17:00 / 18:00 / 19:00 / 20:00 / 21:00
7:00 / 8:00 / 9:00 the next morning
* The price does not change regardless of the number of users.
Is the private open-air bath in the guest room a hot spring bath?
Yes, it is a hot spring bath.
Do you have pajamas?
Room wear (for use inside your room only) is provided in the room. In addition, yukatas and samues are provided by way of indoor wear around the building.

Meals

What kind of meals are served?
Japanese cuisine is provided for both dinner and breakfast.
The quality of the ingredients used differs between standard plans and special plans.
A higher quality of ingredients are used in the special plans compared to in the standard plans.
Regarding menus, we are unable to give you exact details as they change depending on availability on the day.
We hope you will look forward to a delightful surprise on the day.
I have certain foods that I cannot eat. Can you change the menu?
If particular arrangements will need to be made in view of allergies etc., please let us know at least one week before your stay.
We will try our best to meet your needs, but we are unable to assist in the following cases.
We do appreciate your understanding.
* When guests cannot eat Japanese soup such as bonito stock etc.
* When we are informed of food allergies etc. on the day
Can I have my meals in my room?
We ask guests to refrain from eating in their room.
Please enjoy all your meals in the dining hall on the first floor.
Is there any dress code for the dining hall?
Please wear either your own clothes or a ryokan yukata or samue to the dining hall.
Please wear the room wear provided inside your room only.

Access / Courtesy lifts / Car park

Do you offer courtesy lifts?
Courtesy lifts are provided from the south exit of JR Kameoka Station See here for details.
Please understand that the courtesy lifts service is not provided from Torokko Kameoka Station.
Do you have a car park?
Yes, we do. However, please understand that high vehicles (more than 2m 90cm) cannot park here.

What time is check-in / check-out?
Check-in is at 14:00, and check-out is at 11:00.
The latest possible start time for dinner is 19:30, so please arrive at the ryokan by 19:00.
Can you arrange a taxi from Kansai International Airport?
We can book taxis for you on your check-in and check-out days. Please contact the ryokan directly via email regarding prices etc.
Can I leave my baggage with you if I arrive before the check-in time?
We will look after your baggage for you at the front desk. Please do not leave any valuable items.
Can you handle inquiries in foreign languages?
Currently, only English is available.
Is the Internet available?
Free Wi-Fi is available.
Can I use a credit card to make payment?
We accept payment using the following types of credit card.
(VISA / Mastercard / JCB / American / Express / Diners / SAISON / NICOS / Cedyna / Aplus / Model / Union Pay)
* We Chat Pay can also be used for payment.
Can you reserve restaurants in Kyoto city for us?
We will do our best to help you make reservations during the period of your stay from check-in day until check-out day. However, we are unable to deal with payment on your behalf. In addition, we cannot accept liability for any cancellation fees etc.
